Okay, so I wanted to keep track of how the Arizona Diamondbacks were doing this season, the 2023 season. I’m a big fan, and I like to have all the data at my fingertips. So, I started this whole process to figure out their record. It wasn’t as straightforward as I thought it would be!
Digging for the Data
First, I started by just looking up the scores of recent games. I figured I could manually piece together their wins and losses, you know, the old-fashioned way.
- I checked a bunch of sports websites.
- I looked at the box scores.
- I even scrolled through some game recaps.
Man, that got tedious fast! It was okay for a few games, but trying to keep up with a whole season like that? No way! Too much work.
Finding a Better Way
Then, I realized there had to be a better, more efficient way to do this. I mean, it’s 2023, there’s gotta be a website or something that just has the full season record readily available, right?
So I did some more searching, refining my keywords, and boom! I found some sites that did a much better job of compiling the information.
I made my own sheet, started filling it in, and now its easy to tell my friends about it.
It’s much simpler to keep it all straight now. I feel pretty good about my little system. Go D-backs!
