Okay, so I’ve always wanted to run a race, you know, like a proper one with crowds and everything. And the Long Beach race in California seemed like the perfect opportunity. I mean, who wouldn’t want to run by the beach?

I began with short jogs around my neighborhood, gradually increasing the distance each day. I used a running app on my phone to track my progress, which was kinda motivating, seeing those numbers go up.

It was an amazing experience, something I’ll never forget. Would I do it again? Maybe. But first, I need a long nap and a very large pizza.
