The bike hit around 168 mph (that’s about 270.7 km/h for my metric friends). Honestly, it felt like it still had a bit more to give, but I decided to play it safe and backed off. The wind was insane at that speed, and the bike started to feel a little light, you know? The 750cc engine, with its 15,000 rpm redline, was really singing, though.
Afterthoughts
What a rush! That was definitely an experience I won’t forget. My 2008 GSX-R750, weighing in at around 359 lbs (or 163 kg), performed like a dream. I’ve heard some folks say they’ve gotten it up to 170 mph, and with some tweaks, maybe even more. I might consider some adjustments, like a new pipe and a tune, just to see what else this beast can do. But for now, I’m pretty darn happy with that 168 mph.
