Okay, so, I’ve been meaning to keep up with Wrexham AFC’s matches. It’s become a bit of a passion project since I heard about what those Hollywood guys, Reynolds and McElhenney, did with the club. You know, buying it and all that. I heard the club’s value went from like 2 million to 9 million or something, which is totally wild.
First off, I needed to figure out where to find their schedule. I mean, I’m not exactly a tech wizard, so I started with a simple search. Typed in “Wrexham AFC fixtures” and hoped for the best.
I found a few places that had the info. ESPN seemed pretty reliable, with the full 2024-25 schedule laid out and everything. BBC Sport was another one that popped up, and they had a clean list of scores, results, and upcoming games. Sky Sports also had a cool feature where you could filter the schedule by date or competition. Nice.
I decided to go with ESPN since it seemed like the most detailed. I just like to see the whole picture, you know? Dates, times, the works. I bookmarked the page, so I wouldn’t have to go through the whole search again.
Now, I also wanted to dig a bit deeper into the whole story with the new investors. Apparently, Reynolds and McElhenney are selling a stake to some family called the Allyn family. They’re from upstate New York, I think. The new investors are going to be minority owners, which makes sense. And they’re getting involved in some beer company, Wrexham Lager Beer Co. Ltd. Sounds interesting, maybe I will try some one day.
Anyway, I wrote down all the upcoming match dates from the ESPN schedule in my notebook. Old school, I know, but it helps me remember. Plus, it’s kind of satisfying to physically cross them off after they’ve happened.
After gathering all this, I felt pretty good. Like I had a decent handle on Wrexham’s season. They are in League One, by the way. Apparently, they got promoted two years in a row! National League and then League Two. And they are also going to be in the FA Cup, EFL Cup, and EFL Trophy. Busy, busy.
So, that’s my little adventure in tracking down Wrexham’s fixtures. I will try my best to keep up with them throughout the season. Maybe even catch a game or two if I can figure out the streaming situation.
