Star drawings: Learn to draw different types of stars easily!

I saw some folks online talking about how to draw stars, so I figured I’d give it a try myself. I’ve never been much of an artist, but I thought, why not? It seemed simple enough. So, I grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil and got started.

First, I tried to draw a five-pointed star. It seemed like the most basic one. I drew a line, then another one, and then another, trying to make them all connect, but it was harder than I thought. My lines were all wobbly, and the points didn’t quite meet up right. I erased a bunch of times, trying to fix it, but it just got messier.

Here’s how that went:

  • Started with a simple line, then tried to connect others to it.
  • Realized it was harder than it looked; lines were all over the place.
  • Tried to make the points pointy, but they ended up round and uneven.

After messing up the five-pointed star, I decided to try a four-pointed one. Maybe it would be easier with fewer points, right? I drew a line, then another one crossing it. I guess the trick was to make them intersect in the middle. But I still couldn’t get it to look right. The points were all different lengths, and the whole thing looked lopsided.

Trying a Six-Pointer

Feeling a bit defeated, I moved on to a six-pointed star. I thought maybe more points would somehow make it easier to get the symmetry right. This time, I started with an upside-down “V,” then drew a regular “V” on top of it. Then I added two horizontal lines that crossed each other and went through the middle of the first two “V”s. It was a bit more complicated, but it actually started to look like a star.

I kept at it, drawing more stars, trying different methods. Some turned out okay, others were total disasters. But I was determined to get better. I think I’ve drawn about a hundred stars now, and it’s definitely getting easier. My lines are straighter, and the points are more uniform. I’m actually starting to enjoy it. It is kind of relaxing, once you get the hang of it.

It’s funny how something that seems so simple can be so tricky at first. But it just goes to show that with a little practice, anyone can learn to draw a star, even me. I’m not going to be winning any art awards anytime soon, but I’m pretty proud of my little star drawings. And now I have a whole page full of them to show off.
