Okay, so I had this crazy idea the other day to dive into something totally new, and I thought, why not share the whole messy journey with you guys? The project’s called “Liam Alejandro,” and honestly, it’s been a wild ride from the get-go.

It all started when I stumbled upon this random lyric, “That burning feeling, red liquids, clear liquids / Blessed are the sick.” It got me thinking about all sorts of weird stuff, and that’s when the idea hit me. I wanted to create something that combined music, art, and maybe a bit of storytelling. I’ve always been a fan of Glassjaw, and I remembered this album “Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence,” so I thought, maybe I could draw some inspiration from there.
First off, I started brainstorming. I grabbed a huge piece of paper and just started scribbling down everything that came to mind. I thought about this song, “Everything I Ever Wanted” by Liam Payne, which is all about searching for love and happiness. I thought maybe I could make a connection there. But then I also read about this episodic farce about sexual mores, including this bizarre story about a guy in love with a sheep, and a parody game show called “What’s Your Perversion?” It was all over the place, but hey, that’s how creativity works, right?
I decided to take a page out of those YouTube gurus’ books. I’ve spent countless hours watching videos on how to start a YouTube channel, and they make it look so easy. Well, it’s not. I spent days just trying to figure out the technical stuff, like what equipment to use, how to edit videos, and all that jazz. Let me tell you, it was a lot of trial and error. I felt like I was learning a whole new language.
Getting My Hands Dirty
Now, I’m no artist, but I remembered reading about this tattoo artist, Alessandro, also known as Alex Aureo, who’s like a big deal in the tattoo world. I figured if he can create art on skin, maybe I could create something on a canvas. So, I went out and bought a bunch of art supplies. I’m talking paints, brushes, canvases, the whole nine yards. I even dug out some old baseball gear, remembering my days with Bat Boys Baseball LLC. We used to travel around, interview athletes, and make videos. It was a blast, and I thought maybe I could bring some of that energy into this project.
- Set up my “studio”: Basically, I cleared out a corner of my apartment and set up an easel.
- Started sketching: I’m no Picasso, but I started drawing some rough sketches based on my brainstorming session.
- Experimented with colors: This was the fun part. I mixed different paints and just went wild with colors.
- Made a mess: Yep, there were paint splatters everywhere. But hey, that’s part of the process, right?
- Record it all: I decided to set up my phone to do time lapses of my painting. I mean, why not?
The Final Product
After weeks of work, I finally had something I was kind of proud of. It’s this abstract piece that’s a mix of music, personal stories, and a whole lot of emotion. I even managed to create a short video documenting the whole process. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine. And I learned a ton along the way.
So, that’s my “Liam Alejandro” journey in a nutshell. It was messy, chaotic, and at times, I felt completely lost. But I pushed through, and in the end, I created something unique. And isn’t that what life’s all about? Trying new things, making mistakes, and learning along the way? I think so. Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed this little peek into my creative process. Maybe it’ll inspire you to start your own project, who knows?
