Man, I’ve been thinking a lot about the Eagles lately. You know, wondering if they can actually win the division this year. So, I decided to do a little digging and see what’s what.

First off, I started looking at their Super Bowl odds. I mean, if you’re aiming for the division, you gotta have the big picture in mind, right? Most places have them at +650, which puts them fourth-best in the NFL. Not bad, not bad. Our computer rankings, though? Fifth-best. Close enough.
Then, I dove into the whole seeding thing. They clinched the No. 2 seed with that win against Dallas in Week 17, which also gave them the NFC East. Feels good, man. It used to be that the No. 2 seed got a first-round bye, but the NFL changed things up in 2020, expanding to a 14-team playoff format.
Now, here’s where it gets a little tricky. Even though they’re doing great, the Eagles are still a game behind the Lions and the Vikings for that top seed. Yeah, both those teams are sitting at 13-2, and we’re at 14-3. So I started figuring out what needs to happen on Sunday for them to snag that top spot. It’s gonna be tough.
I even looked back at their game against the Steelers in Week 15. They won that one 27-13, improving to 12-2. That was a solid win. It’s those little victories that add up, you know?
Here’s my final thought:
- It is possible
- It will be tough, but it is possible
So, can the Eagles win the division? It is possible, it’s gonna be a nail-biter. They’ve got the talent, they’ve got the drive, but they also need a few things to go their way. I’ll be watching this Sunday, that’s for sure. Go Eagles!
