Okay, so, I wanted to watch the Detroit Tigers game the other day, but I didn’t want to pay for cable. I’m sure a lot of you guys can relate. We all want to watch our favorite teams without breaking the bank, right?
So, I started digging around to see what my options were. I found out that there are basically two main ways to stream the Tigers: DirecTV Stream and FuboTV. I also saw something about FOX and ESPN, but I wasn’t totally sure how that worked.

First, I looked into DirecTV Stream. It seemed okay, but I wasn’t immediately sold. Then I checked out FuboTV. Honestly, both of them seemed pretty similar in terms of getting the Tigers games. But they had differents channels included in their packages. I made some notes about the channels that are included in their basic packages.

It turns out they can also show some games, but it’s not as straightforward as DirecTV Stream or FuboTV. It seemed like you’d need to check the schedule to be sure. I’m more of a set-it-and-forget-it kind of guy.
Then there was something called *. I looked into that, too. Apparently, you can watch out-of-market games with it, but there are blackout restrictions for local teams. So, that wasn’t going to work for me since I wanted to watch the Tigers, and I’m in their market.
My Final Decision
After all that research, I decided to give FuboTV a try. They have a free trial, so I figured, why not? I signed up, and it was pretty easy to get started. I found the Tigers game, and boom, I was watching baseball. FuboTV has a lot of sports channels. I watched not only baseball games but also other sports programs.
So, that’s my experience with trying to watch the Detroit Tigers without cable. It took a bit of digging, but I found a solution that worked for me. Hopefully, this helps some of you who are in the same boat. Just remember to do your own research and see what works best for you!
