Okay, so, I’ve been keeping an eye on this whole Conor McGregor fight situation, and let me tell you, it’s been a rollercoaster. Originally, I circled June 29th on my calendar. That’s when he was supposed to throw down with Michael Chandler at UFC 303. I was pumped! I even started planning a watch party with some buddies.

But then, bam! News broke on June 13th that McGregor pulled out. An “undisclosed injury,” they said. Talk about a letdown. All that hype, all that anticipation, and poof, it was gone. Now, everyone’s saying the fight’s not happening until 2025, maybe even later. So much for my summer plans, right?
To make it worse, that Jake Paul guy’s been running his mouth. He’s got his sights set on McGregor now, Apparently, he has a win over some older, retired heavyweight champ, and now he thinks he’s ready for Conor McGregor. I heard rumors they might even fight in India next year, maybe July or August. That’s wild if you ask me.
- Started getting hyped for McGregor vs. Chandler on June 29th.
- Got the wind knocked out of me when McGregor withdrew.
- Now hearing all this chatter about a Jake Paul fight in 2025.
Waiting Game
But, you know, McGregor keeps teasing a comeback. He’s been all over social media, hinting that he wants back in the octagon ASAP. He’s even been pushing UFC CEO White for a new fight date.
Honestly, I just want to see the guy fight again. He’s a legend, and even though he’s had some ups and downs, he’s still one of the biggest draws in the sport. I’ll definitely be tuning in, whenever and wherever that fight finally happens.
I even re-watched that documentary, Conor McGregor: Notorious, just to get my fix. It’s a wild ride, just like his career.

So, for now, it’s a waiting game. We’ll see what happens. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we get some good news soon. And hopefully, this time, the fight actually happens.
