Okay, let’s talk about this “b k racing” thing. It’s not something I planned, but it kinda happened, and I figured, why not share the whole messy story with you guys?

So, I was messing around with this old racing game, right? And I stumbled upon this cheat code thing, “burgerking”, typed it in for a laugh. Next thing I know, I’m thrown into this special challenge. I’m in this BMW M3 E46 GTR, which, by the way, felt pretty sweet to drive, even in a game that’s older than some of you reading this.
There I was, racing against three other AI drivers. I’m not gonna lie; it was a bit of a rush. The whole thing took me back to those old-school racing games I used to play. This particular challenge was like a throwback to the “Need for Speed” series, especially with the “Cops vs Racers” vibe. It felt like a tribute to those days, which was pretty cool.
- First, I had to figure out how to skip the intro videos. Found this widescreen fix thing online and tweaked a setting in some file called “NFSMostWanted.” Easy peasy.
- Then came the actual race. It wasn’t a walk in the park, I gotta tell ya. Those AI drivers were no joke. But after a few tries, I finally managed to finish first. It was a close call, but hey, a win’s a win.
- The game itself is pretty engaging. I mean, if you’re just in it for the main story, you’re looking at around 22.5 hours of gameplay. But who does that? There are so many side races and activities; you can easily sink way more time into it.
After winning, I did a little digging. Apparently, they’re planning to roll out more content for this game throughout 2024. They’re calling them “volumes,” which sounds fancy. There’s this “Audi Head to Head” thing, something about “Underground-inspired Drift and Drag,” and that “Cops vs Racers” mode I mentioned. It’s like they’re trying to bring back all the best parts of the old games.
What I Did
I ended up spending a good chunk of my weekend on this. It was a total nostalgia trip, seeing as “Need for Speed: Underground 2” just turned 20. I even found some folks online who were just as excited about this as I was. There was this one video I watched, “Beginning of NFS most wanted series 1st introductory video,” which took me back to when I first entered the city in the game.
All in all, it was a fun, unexpected dive back into a classic. If you’ve got some time to kill and you’re into racing games, you might wanna give this a shot. Just don’t blame me if you end up losing your weekend to it, too!
