Okay, so I wanted to put together the list for that 2008 US Olympic basketball team, the Redeem Team. It’s been a while, and sometimes you forget who exactly was on the squad beyond the biggest names.

First thing I did was just try to remember off the top of my head. Easy ones came first, right? You had Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Dwyane Wade. Those guys were the core leaders, no doubt.
But that’s just three. I knew I needed the full twelve. So, I started digging around a bit, just basic searching online, looking through old sports sites summaries, things like that. Didn’t want anything too fancy, just needed the names confirmed.
Pretty quickly, Carmelo Anthony came up. Yep, definitely him. And Chris Paul, the point guard. Can’t forget him. Then I remembered the big men down low. Dwight Howard was the main center for that team. And Chris Bosh was there too, versatile guy.
Getting the Full Roster
Okay, that’s seven. Still missing a few. I kept looking through the records I could find. Ah, Jason Kidd! He was the veteran presence, the experienced point guard alongside CP3. Good pull.

Who else? Needed some more forwards and guards. Found Tayshaun Prince – yeah, the defensive guy from the Pistons. He was on it. And Michael Redd, the shooter from the Bucks. He definitely made the team.
Now, who am I missing? Had to check a couple of different roster lists I found just to be sure. Ah, there he is: Deron Williams. Another solid point guard. Man, they were stacked at the guard spot.
One more… who was the last guy? Scanned the lists again. Got it. Carlos Boozer. Power forward. Right.
So, I jotted them all down together just to see the final list:
- Carmelo Anthony
- Carlos Boozer
- Chris Bosh
- Kobe Bryant
- Dwight Howard
- LeBron James
- Jason Kidd
- Chris Paul
- Tayshaun Prince
- Michael Redd
- Dwyane Wade
- Deron Williams
Yep, that’s the twelve. Took a little bit of searching and jogging the memory, but got there in the end. Quite a team they assembled back then after the disappointment in 2004. Seeing the full list really brings back how much talent they had on that roster.
