The Pitchers
Of course, a team is more than just one player. I also looked into their pitching staff. They had some solid guys like Frank Viola, Bert Blyleven, and Les Straker. These guys were the backbone of the team, keeping them steady throughout the year.
Final Thoughts
Overall, researching the 1987 Twins was a blast. It was like taking a trip back in time. They weren’t the flashiest team, but they had heart and they got the job done. It just goes to show that you don’t need to be the best on paper to win it all. Sometimes, it’s all about coming together at the right time and playing your best when it matters most.
