Alright, let’s talk about getting those DC skins in Fortnite. It wasn’t like some grand plan I had, you know? It kinda just happened over time. I saw someone running around as Batman one match, the armored one, looked pretty cool, and I thought, “Huh, need to keep an eye out for that.”
So, I started checking the Item Shop more often. Like, religiously. Every night, refresh, scroll through, see if any DC stuff popped up. Mostly disappointment, just the usual rotation. You learn pretty quick that the skins you really want only show up now and then.
The first one I actually snagged was Harley Quinn. She appeared, and I had some V-Bucks saved from the Battle Pass and stuff. Didn’t hesitate much on that one, just grabbed her. Felt good, like the start of something. Then came the waiting game for others.
I remember wanting The Flash skin badly. That took ages to come back around. You see leaks or hear rumors, get your hopes up, then nothing for weeks. It’s kinda frustrating, makes you wonder if they forgot about certain characters.
Then there was that whole thing with the Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point comics. You could get codes inside for specific items, like the Rebirth Harley Quinn skin, Batman Zero Wing glider, Catwoman’s grapple claw pickaxe… I tried hunting down those comics at first. Honestly, it was a bit of a pain trying to find them all, especially the later issues. Managed to get a couple of codes, but ended up just buying some of the items later when they hit the shop anyway. Less hassle.
Over time, I managed to build up a small collection. It wasn’t cheap sometimes, had to buy V-Bucks directly more than once, especially for bundles. Got skins like:
- Batman (a couple of versions)
- Catwoman Zero
- Harley Quinn (Rebirth and the regular one)
- The Flash
- Wonder Woman
- Aquaman (from that Chapter 2 Season 3 pass)
- Beast Boy
Yeah, Aquaman was different ’cause he was part of the Battle Pass. You just had to play the game, do the challenges. That felt more rewarding, like you earned it through gameplay, not just waiting for the shop.
My favorite? Probably The Batman Who Laughs. That skin is just menacing. Cost a fair bit as part of a bundle, but totally worth it for how unique it looks in the game. Running around with that one feels different.
So yeah, that’s basically been my process. Check the shop constantly, wait patiently (or impatiently), grab ’em when they show up if I have the V-Bucks or feel like buying some. Sometimes you get lucky with a Battle Pass inclusion or maybe some special event challenges, but mostly it’s just watching that store rotation. Still waiting for a few others to maybe show up again someday. It’s an ongoing thing, I guess.
