Why you need Dreamlight Valley Grey Stuff (Learn its uses and benefits inside the game)

My Journey Making the Grey Stuff

Alright, so I decided I wanted to try making that famous “Grey Stuff” in Dreamlight Valley the other day. Heard about it, saw it mentioned, figured why not give it a whirl myself. Seemed like one of those iconic things you just gotta do in the game, right?

First thing was figuring out what actually goes into it. Didn’t have the recipe handed to me right away, so I kinda had to piece it together. I remembered seeing something about needing dairy… so, step one, head over to Chez Remy.

Getting the Ingredients Together

Popped into Remy’s restaurant. Good thing I’d upgraded his place a bit, so I could actually buy stuff from his pantry section in the back. Found the milk there, easy enough. Grabbed one of those.

Next up, I knew I needed something sweet. Sugarcane. Okay, that meant a trip down to Dazzle Beach. Found Goofy’s stall there – thankfully I’d upgraded that one too. Bought some sugarcane seeds. Now, this part took a little patience. Had to find a spot near my house, dig some holes, plant those seeds, water them, and then just… wait. Felt like forever, but eventually, they sprouted up, and I harvested the sugarcane.

Last ingredient: Cocoa Beans. These were a bit more of a runaround. I remembered seeing those cocoa trees, the ones with the brown pods? Had to jog over to the Sunlit Plateau, I think it was. Or maybe the Glade of Trust? Honestly, I get those mixed up sometimes. Anyway, found the trees, plucked a few cocoa beans right off ’em. Finally had everything I needed.

  • Milk (from Remy’s)
  • Sugarcane (grown myself after buying seeds)
  • Cocoa Beans (picked from trees)

Cooking Time

Got back to my house, feeling pretty accomplished already just finding the bits. Fired up my cooking station – the trusty stove. Opened the cooking menu. Now for the moment of truth.

I tossed in the milk. Added the sugarcane I’d waited patiently for. And finally, dropped in the cocoa beans I’d hunted down. Held my breath for a second, hit the ‘Cook’ button, and watched the little pot bubble away.

The Result!

And there it was! Out popped this swirling dessert… definitely grey, living up to its name. Looked kinda fancy, actually, in its little dish. Didn’t taste it myself, obviously, but it felt good to have finally made it. It’s supposed to be delicious, right? That’s what the movie says! Anyway, mission accomplished. Making the Grey Stuff, done and dusted.
