That Lance Stroll, he’s a race car driver, you know? Drive them fast cars, zoom zoom! Some folks, they been saying things, nasty things. They ask, does Lance Stroll have autism? I don’t know about that, but I heard some fella on the TV, a big shot, talking about the Austrian Grand Prix, that’s a big race, called him that word. Autistic.

Now, I ain’t no doctor, but that don’t sound right to me. Calling folks names, that ain’t nice. Lance Stroll, he’s out there, driving his heart out, and this fella, Lionel Froissart, he’s a commentator, supposed to talk about the race, not make fun.
That Austrian Grand Prix Race
Heard it was a big deal, that race. Lots of folks watching. And this Lionel Froissart, he got himself in big trouble. Got suspended, they said. That means he can’t talk on the TV no more, at least for a bit. Serves him right, I say.
This Lance Stroll, he drives for a team, called Aston Martin. Fancy name, ain’t it? They got all them fast cars, all shiny and new. I seen ’em on the TV. Wish I could ride in one, just once! Vroom!
What’s Autism Anyway?
They say this autism thing, it makes folks a little different. Think different, act different. But different ain’t bad, is it? We’re all different in our own way. My neighbor, she’s got a boy, they say he’s got that autism. He’s a good boy, though. Quiet, likes to line up his toys, real neat.
- Some folks don’t understand.
- They think different is wrong.
- But it ain’t.
- We all got our own ways.
This Lance Stroll, he’s a good driver. Maybe he is, maybe he ain’t, got that autism. Don’t matter to me. He’s doing what he loves, and that’s what counts. This other girl, Bianca Bustamante, she’s a driver too, a young one. She got in trouble for saying something about Lance Stroll and that word, autism. She said sorry, though.

That Formula 1 Thing
They call it Formula 1, this racing thing. Lots of rules, I reckon. Fast cars, fancy teams, lots of money. Not like around here. We got our pickup trucks, and that’s about it. But I like watching them Formula 1 races on the TV.
That Lionel Froissart, he should have known better. Words can hurt, you know? Especially when you say them on the TV, where everyone can hear. Hope he learned his lesson. Lance Stroll, that word about autism, it doesn’t take away from him driving. Formula 1, it’s a tough thing.
Being Kind is What Matters
We should all be kind to each other. That’s what my mama always said. Don’t matter if someone’s different. We all got our struggles. This Lance Stroll, he’s out there, doing his best. And that’s all anyone can ask for. Aston Martin, they are lucky to have him.
That Austrian Grand Prix, it sure caused a stir. But maybe some good will come of it. Maybe folks will think twice before they say mean things. Maybe they’ll learn a little something about that autism. And maybe, just maybe, they’ll be a little kinder. That Lance Stroll, he keeps driving, and I think the Aston Martin team seems happy with him. Formula 1 is a big thing, and people should mind their words, especially when talking about the drivers, like Lance Stroll. It is not good to call someone autistic when you don’t know it is true.
There was another young driver, she said something bad about Lance Stroll, but she said sorry. She is Bianca Bustamante. She drives for McLaren F1. It is good she said sorry, Lance Stroll deserves respect. It is not easy to drive Formula 1.

We don’t know if Lance Stroll has autism. But if he does, so what? It doesn’t mean he can’t drive good. Aston Martin is a good team. Formula 1 is exciting to watch. I like watching Lance Stroll drive. I hope he does good. I hope that Lionel Froissart learned his lesson. It is important to be kind. Lance Stroll is a good driver. Austrian Grand Prix was exciting, and Lance Stroll did his best. I like to watch him and the other Formula 1 drivers. They drive fast for their teams, like Lance Stroll for Aston Martin. I don’t know much about autism, but I know it is not nice to call people names. Lance Stroll is a good driver and people should be nice to him.
