Okay, so today I decided to mess around with the different forms of Oricorio in Pokemon. You know, those cute little birds that change their style and type based on which island you’re on in Alola? I thought it would be fun to see all the regions forms in action, and maybe try to build a team around them.

First, I booted up my copy of Pokemon Ultra Sun. I already had a save file going, so I flew straight to Melemele Island. I wanted to start with the Baile Style Oricorio, the red, Fire/Flying type one.
- Find: I ran around in the Melemele Meadow, rustling through the flowers.
- Encounter: It took a few tries, but finally, a Baile Style Oricorio popped up!
- Catch: I weakened it with my trusty starter and tossed a Poke Ball. Gotcha!
Changing Forms
Next, I wanted to see how to change its form. I remembered something about using different Nectars. So, I went back to the Pokemon Center and checked my bag.
- Red Nectar (for Baile Style): I have it.
I have used Red Nectar for my Oricorio and it become Baile Style.
- Yellow Nectar (for Pom-Pom Style): I flew to the Melemele Meadow.
I have used Yellow Nectar for my Oricorio and it become Pom-Pom Style.
- Pink Nectar (for Pa’u Style): I flew to the Akala Island’s Royal Avenue.
I have used Pink Nectar for my Oricorio and it become Pa’u Style.

- Purple Nectar (for Sensu Style): I flew to the Ula’ula Meadow.
I have used Purple Nectar for my Oricorio and it become Sensu Style.
It was pretty simple! I just gave the Oricorio the corresponding Nectar, and it changed right before my eyes. It was cool to see all the different colors and dances.
Honestly, the whole process was way easier than I expected. The hardest part was just finding the initial Oricorio. The Nectar thing was a breeze. Now I’m thinking about what kind of goofy team I can build with all four Oricorio styles… That’s a project for another day, though!
