So, I got curious the other day about which horse was, like, the absolute fastest ever. You know, just one of those random thoughts that pop into your head. I figured, “Hey, I’ll just look it up, should be easy, right?” Wrong!
First, I just did a basic search. I typed in “fastest racehorse ever”. Boy, did I open a can of worms. I got a bunch of names: Winning Brew, Secretariat, Man o’ War… I was like, “Okay, cool, some famous horses.” But which one was actually the fastest?

Then I started seeing stuff about different race distances. Like, some horses were super fast over short distances, others were better at longer ones. It got confusing fast. It was like, comparing sprinters to marathon runners. Totally different things!
