I heard some folks talking ’bout that Scottie Pippen and LeBron James. Who’s better, you know? That’s what they was yapping about. Well, let me tell you something ’bout these two.

That Pippen, he played with Michael Jordan, you know? They won a whole bunch of them NBA championships together. Six, I think. Yeah, six of ’em. They was real good, like peanut butter and jelly, you know? Always together, always winning. That Jordan, he sure could score. He got all them scoring titles, more than anyone else, I reckon. But this Pippen fella, he was good too. Not as flashy, maybe, but he did a lot of things. They say he made his teammates better.

LeBron James Stats
Now, this LeBron James, he’s a whole different animal. Big and strong, like an ox. He got four of them rings. Not as many as Jordan and Pippen, but still a lot, you know? He plays a lot of games, that LeBron. And he plays a lot of minutes, too. More than anybody, I think. And he scores a lot, that LeBron. Not as much as Jordan, but still, a whole heap. He’s good at passing, too. They say he gets a lot of assists. And rebounds, too. He’s just good at everything, that’s all.
Some people talk about points, rebounds, and assists. LeBron, he beats that Pippen in most of them. Yeah, LeBron gets more rebounds, 7.5 to 6.2, I think. And assists, too, 7.4 to 5.3. And field goal percentages, whatever that means, LeBron’s is 50.5 and Pippen’s is 49.7. Same with them 3-point percentages. LeBron’s got 34.7 and Pippen, he’s got 32.7. LeBron, he’s just better at most things, I reckon.

So, who’s better, you ask? Well, that’s a tough one. They played in different times, you know? It’s like comparing apples and oranges. But if you ask me, I think this LeBron fella, he’s just a little bit better. He can do more things, you know? He can score, he can pass, he can rebound. He’s like a one-man army. That Pippen, he was good, don’t get me wrong. But he needed Jordan, you know? LeBron, he don’t need nobody. He just does it all himself. I heard he gets like, 29.3 points per game. That’s a lot, ain’t it?
This Scotty Pippen Jr., I don’t know much about him. Sounds like he’s related to the other Pippen. They say there is nothing much about his play, but I wouldn’t know nothing about that. Some folks talk about advanced stats and all that. It just goes right over my head.
NBA Stats
They got all these numbers, you know? Points, rebounds, assists, steals, turnovers. It’s all a jumble to me. But I know this, basketball is a team sport. You gotta work together, you gotta pass the ball, you gotta play defense. It ain’t just about one fella, even if he is as good as LeBron. I heard something about this James Harden, too. He plays for the LA Clippers now, I think. They say he is “The Realest”. He must be pretty good, then, huh?

Winning. And that’s what LeBron James does. He wins. So, yeah, if you ask me, I think he’s the best. But that’s just my two cents, you know? You can make up your own mind.
Scottie Pippen was a great player, sure. But LeBron James? He’s just different, maybe the best to ever play the game. He’s got the stats, he’s got the rings. He’s just a winner, plain and simple. And that is all.
