Okay, so I wanted to make this “berserk ball” thing I saw online. It looked pretty cool, all fiery and crazy. I figured, “How hard could it be?” Famous last words, right?

First, I needed a ball. I grabbed one of those cheap, bouncy rubber balls from the dollar store – the kind kids lose in five minutes. Don’t use anything fancy, trust me on this.
Next up, the “berserk” part. I remembered seeing videos. It seems some string, soaked in something flammable, and wrapped the ball tightly.I found some thick cotton string in my junk drawer. Perfect!
- I started by soaking that string. I doused it in the liquid. Made sure it was good and saturated.
- Then came the wrapping. I wrapped the string around the ball, like, a million times. Tight, overlapping, no gaps. This took way longer than I thought. My fingers started to cramp.
Once the ball was completely covered, it was time for testing it and it worked well.
My Attempts
I tried some testing and It turned out pretty awesome, I gotta say.
It was this crazy, spinning ball of fire. Definitely a “don’t try this at home” kind of thing, even though I totally did.

It was a fun little project, even if it was a bit messy and probably a fire hazard. Would I do it again? Maybe. But next time, I’m wearing gloves. And maybe doing it outside. Just in case.
