So I heard the news about “The Carton Show” on FS1 getting canceled, and man, it got me thinking. I remember when this show first popped up. I was like, “Okay, another sports show, let’s see what this is about.”

I started tuning in, you know, just casually at first. I watched a few episodes, trying to get a feel for it. Craig Carton, he’s a character, right? Always loud, always opinionated. Sometimes I agreed with him, sometimes I was yelling at the TV. That’s part of the fun, I guess.
I kept coming back though, on and off. It wasn’t my everyday show, but I checked it out when I could. I noticed the different segments they had, the guests they brought on. I even found myself looking up clips online sometimes, just to see what crazy thing Carton said that day.
The discussions I remembered
- The constant back-and-forth about the New York teams.
- Carton’s bets, Oh boy.
- The interviews with athletes, those were sometimes pretty good.
Then, boom, news drops that it’s canceled. I went online, read a bunch of articles about it. Apparently, ratings weren’t great, and there was some talk about Carton focusing on other things. I get it, TV is a tough business.
I did my share of digging online to learn and know about the situation.

It’s a bit of a bummer, though. Even if I wasn’t a die-hard fan, it was a show I checked out from time to time. Now it’s gone. Makes you realize how quickly things can change, you know? One day it’s there, the next day it’s just…poof.
